Welcome to Hanoi, Vietnam!
On your first day, you can arrive in Hanoi at any time as the only activity scheduled is the airport pick up. The driver will be waiting for you at the airport to take you to your hotel. Once you have checked in, the rest of the day is free for you to rest or explore the city and form your own first impressions of Vietnam. The airport transfer is included in the itinerary, so you don’t have to worry about arranging transportation on your own.
Stay overnight in Hanoi and get ready for an exciting adventure!
8:30 AM: Get Picked up by a tour guide to the Temple of Literature, which was constructed in the 11th century during the Ly dynasty for Confucius worship and to educate Royal children. Take a stroll through the garden to the city’s landmark, Khue Van Cac. The World Heritage “stone steles” that display the names of honor roll students will thereafter be your next stop. Continue your exploration of Quoc Tu Giam, which is regarded as Vietnam’s first national university.
Follow it with a visit to one of the city’s museums (choose among the National history museum, Hoa Lo, Museum of Ethnology and Fine art museum) before having a break for lunch or some drink (by your own budget).
In the afternoon, you visit the French Quarter, Hanoi’s “little Paris” with tree-lined boulevards, government headquarters, and a large square. Visit Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum (outside) before taking a leisurely stroll through the botanical gardens to the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh’s mansion on stilts where he used to live and work. One of the city’s icons is the one-of-a-kind one-pillar pagoda. Depending on the amount of travelers, we spend 1 to 2 hours exploring this complex.
Return to the city center for a rest before seeing the unique water puppet plays that first debuted in the 11th century. Puppets on water depict the daily lives, culture, and beliefs of the Vietnamese people in these shows. A traditional music performance is frequently included in the show.
Come back to the hotel. End of the day
7:30 AM: Tour guide and driver will pick you up for the trip from Hanoi to Sapa. The new route provides stunning views of rural landscapes, mountains, and the Red River.
Arrive in town and have lunch. In the afternoon, go to Sin Chai village, home to more than 60 Black H’mong households. Immerse yourself in nature’s beauty with flowers, veggies, medical plant farms, and breathtaking rice terraces. Explore the road to Sin Chai village and learn about the Black H’Mong people who migrated to these mountains decades ago. This group is remarkable because of the diversity of cultures, languages, and lifestyles. Visit a primary school and an authentic H’mong home before returning to your hotel.
